GetResponse vs Mailchimp. Which one is the better?

Anyone who is in business today knows that email marketing is an essential part of any successful marketing strategy. But with so many email marketing service providers out there, it can be hard to know which one is the best for your needs. It is always great to hear that email marketing is a top-rated and proven method for generating leads, with an ROI as high as $38 per dollar spent. And GetResponse has been around since 1998, so they know what's up!

GetResponse provides many tools to help marketers do their job better, and can be used as an automated email marketing platform, lead generation system, or sales automation workflow. The software's robust features allow users to send targeted emails with ease while also offering comprehensive reporting on deliverability rates for campaigns that generate more responses than expected.

In this blog post, we'll compare two of the most popular providers, MailChimp, and GetResponse. And show you why GetResponse is the better option for your business.

What is GetResponse?

GetResponse is an email marketing platform that simplifies the creating, sending, and tracking of email procedures.

Why do you need email marketing?

In today's digital landscape, email marketing is the way to go. Here are some reasons why:
An email has been proven times. And again as one of the most effective ways for businesses like yours to communicate with their customers. With 50% of people checking their emails daily, and easy access to hundreds of thousands with just one click on your site or inbox, there's no better time than now for you to start connecting! It can take less than 3 minutes per day on average just to create an autoresponder that will help grow your list quickly while also increasing conversions.

There are many other email marketing service platforms that you might want to check out, but I think MailChimp is the most valuable brand you should look out for except GetResponse.
Mailchimp - the brand that I want to mention in this article also provides email marketing services like GetResponse. But the following comparisons between these two brands will help you get the answer to why you should use GetResponse instead of MailChimp.

We will start a comparison between GetResponse and MailChimp by focusing on the contents listed below:

GetResponse Vs MailChimp Comparison

Webinars, Marketing Automation, and Conversion Funnel which MailChimp has not provided to you are truly essential features for your business marketing campaigns.

  • GetResponse Webinars are interactive, web-based seminars with people who want to know more about what you offer. They are a great way to build your marketing list. The webinar room offers you not only audio and video streaming but also access to online polling, desktop sharing, file sharing, and a digital whiteboard. Participants can collaborate with you and other attendees using the live chat box to share feedback and ask questions.
  • GetResponse Marketing Automation lets you add a tag to subscriber records based on those kinds of actions. ... You can use those tags to create segments so that you can send targeted communications. You can also use them as triggers for workflows - also coming up in the next section.
  • A conversion funnel is a tool that lets you manage and develop online sales. GetResponse Conversion funnel will help you promote products online, gain new customers and increase sales results. It's an easy-to-use tool that will save you time and improve your sales rates.

GetResponse Conversion Funnels give you:

  • Ready-made sales funnels
  • Automated lead magnet funnels
  • More ways to generate leads and convert customers

GetResponse has a strong support team. You can send an email or chat live with them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Don't worry, you also can be supported in 8 languages: English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Portuguese.

Of course, I feel so comfortable when I get help from the GetResponse support team by my side 24/7. I love this point.

Integrations are important because they allow you to connect different applications and services together. This provides a more seamless experience for your users and makes it easier for them to complete tasks. Additionally, integrations can help you automate tasks and save time.

With more than 120+ integrations, you can connect your favorite platforms directly with GetResponse. Make your everyday processes even easier, so you can spend less time setting up and more time doing awesome work. While MailChimp only gives you 31 integrations, your choices are vastly limited.

What about discounts?

This is a great opportunity to save 10% off GetResponse. Just use this link when purchasing your plan from our site and enjoy this limited-time offer!

There are many ways to save money when using GetResponse more than MailChimp, but if you're willing to pay upfront for your GetResponse account, then be sure to take advantage of these two discounts. Paying upfront a year saves 18% off the price and buying two years at 30%.

Mailchimp does not offer any yearly discount, but you can get 10% off for three months if enable their two-factor authentication security setting. It is an excellent way to protect your account and ensure that no one else has access other than yourself!
A 15% reduction also applies specifically to verified charities or non-profit organizations, so it's worth checking out these benefits with an internet provider who offers them before making any decisions on what service will work best to suit all parties involved.

You can refer to the GetResponse discounts on this page.

Marketing automation is possible with both GetResponse and Mailchimp. So, regardless of which one you choose, you'll be able to develop automation processes and send emails depending on triggers. For example, Mailchimp provides triggers such as someone subscribing to your email, a client putting an item in their basket but not checking out, and a visitor hitting a specific URL on your site. GetResponse works in the same way. However, the automation builder on these two platforms is considerably different.

GetResponse provides a visual marketing automation builder that grows with your needs.

GetResponse is far more user-friendly than Mailchimp when it comes to creating automation workflows. Because GetResponse presents your workflows, which are made up of several paths and triggers, in a visually appealing manner. This makes it much easier to see your processes as a whole and decide which elements should go where. Mailchimp, on the other hand, shows its triggers in a plain list, so you don't get to see how things interact with one another. As a result, GetResponse is the clear champion in marketing automation.

MailChimp's Automation Workflows

With GetResponse, the drag-and-drop builder helps you create the perfect automation flow chart for your drip campaign, deciding exactly when each message can be sent and what type of triggers you want to use.

You may also select a specific template from GetResponse's library of pre-made alternatives to construct solutions for "Welcoming" your audience, qualifying leads, creating online courts, and so much more.

If you are a business, MailChimp will not be able to respond to your expectations. It is too basic for you!

As I mentioned, GetResponse has two Max plans with custom pricing specifically for Mid & Large Companies who want to use GetResponse's advanced services to boost their business.

GetResponse offers features for fast-scaling businesses:

  • Advanced marketing automation

GetResponse vs Mailchimp verdict

Overall, in a GetResponse vs. Mailchimp comparison, it's difficult not to see GetResponse as the winner - it's less expensive to use and has many more marketing options than its competitor. Furthermore, unlike Mailchimp, there are no send restrictions to worry about, and you do not have to pay to hold unsubscribed contacts. GetResponse is the far superior value product of the two being evaluated here due to its more special feature set and lower cost.

GetResponse's Webinars, Chats, and Push notifications, in particular, are essential features to have in your digital marketing toolkit - and I believe they make the platform more of an "all in one" solution than Mailchimp.

If you are interested in the free plan, MailChimp seems to give you an unexpected generosity when providing up to 2000 contacts maximum instead of just 500 contacts of GetResponse. For me, it may be the main argument for using Mailchimp over GetResponse

GetResponse or MailChimp - The final choice is still yours. You should thoroughly research them yourself before making any decisions. You can check out the overall comparison between GetResponse and other platforms here.
